Alive Inside

If you ever want to awaken my memories, this is the song you should play.

I am a huge fan of documentaries and recently I rented

Alive Inside

which is about a guy on a mission to help the millions of Americans who live with dementia. (Which, if you ask me, is a kind of death.) Anyway, this man, Dan Cohen, discovers that playing music for individuals in nursing homes is more helpful than any drug they might be taking. Listening to meaningful songs from their youth awakens that person, brings them joy and a renewed connection to a world that they are rapidly losing. I loved it, especially this guy below.

I loved it so much that I am going to send the

Music and Memory

project a couple of my old iPods.

Have you seen this movie? What did you think? What's your set list to give to your peeps to awaken you?

Have you seen

Star Wars the Force Awakens

? Spoiler is below.

If you haven't seen the movie, you are a rare person or living in a very tiny country. Or maybe a Trekkie. Anyway, there it is. The big secret. Rest in Peace, Han. I hope you had a will so that Leia can figure out what to do with your stuff.
